Ellington at Newport is a live album by American pianist, composer and big band leader Duke Ellington, released in 1956 by Columbia Records. This album gave Duke Ellington the opportunity to relaunch his career.
The album is most famous for Paul Gonsalves' 27 choruses on Diminuendo in Blue and Crescendo in Blue, which almost caused a riot.
